Eleven years ago I operated a nail studio. The methods and products at the time were less than ideal because the best thing going unfortunately did tend to undermine the health of the nail plate but it was a price women were willing to pay, myself included, to have beautiful nails.

While researching the training options and gel systems out there I was thrilled to realize that the industry had evolved and now offers better and healthier alternatives to the old damaging system of application and removal which still exists today. At least we now have choices!

I was thrilled to find a permanent gel nail treatment that offered a healthier alternative!

As a skeptic, I tried a sample nail and wore it in excess of 6 weeks!!! Yes, the gel had grown way up the nail at the 6 week point, but it was still fully intact with no lifting at all. I put it to every test I could think of (cleaning with SOS pads, garage sale, yard work, camping, hauling stuff to trade shows and much more!) and no problems what so ever!  I needed to prove to myself that this truly was a healthier alternative with out compromise of look and durability.

Now, let me say here and now, I don't recommend anyone leave gel nails that long before maintenance but there was good reason for my madness!

This system uses no primers, bonders or resins which are damaging and is as close to a "no file system" as you will ever see (with the exception of shaping the free edge and reshaping the gel at fill time but that's about it). These nails are thin and very natural looking yet durable and long lasting  with the growth of the your nails as the deciding factor. An added bonus is that you don't ever need to remove the gel by filing if you decide you need to give the nails up. Filing to remove gel is a disaster for the nail plate but worst yet is just pulling the gel off!!!! This product can actually be soaked off leaving the natural nail healthy and in tact so there is no more reason for brutal massacre of your nails! Let me tell you that went a long way to convincing me!
